More than any other cause, sun exposure ages our skin.
My experience in working with hundreds of faces has proven to me that clear, youthful and beautiful skin is preserved by regular use of sunscreens and wearing hats and clothing for coverage when out in the sun.
My aunt is a great example. She is almost 70 years old, and has the clearest, smoothest skin I have seen in a woman her age.
Her face is nearly translucent! I asked her about how she cares for her skin and her answer was, "I don't sunbathe and I always wear a hat and sunblock." By the way, she is a resident of Florida.
On the other hand, those faces which have repeated sun exposure without proper protection show the damage as uneven skin tone with a thicker texture and more noticeable sagging and wrinkles.
If this were only about physical beauty, I believe staying out of the sun would be a must. But there is a serious health component to the proper care of your skin when in the sun.
